Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 1 January 2026 ยท Last Updated: 1 January 2026

๐Ÿ”’ Short version: TrustDesk collects no personal data, no analytics, and no usage information of any kind. Our applications run entirely on your device.

1. Who We Are

TrustDesk (trustdesk.in) is an independent software project maintained by Gorakhnath Patil, based in Maharashtra, India. We build and distribute free, offline-first desktop and Android business applications.

2. Data Collection โ€” Applications

TrustDesk desktop and Android applications collect no data whatsoever. Specifically:

  • No analytics or usage tracking
  • No crash reporting to external servers
  • No user registration or account creation required
  • No telemetry or behavioral data
  • No advertising identifiers
  • No network requests to TrustDesk or any third-party service (except optional Google Drive backup, described in Section 4)

All data you enter into TrustDesk applications (inventory, customers, transactions, etc.) is stored exclusively on your device in a local H2 or SQLite database. We have no access to this data.

3. Data Collection โ€” This Website

This website (trustdesk.in) does not use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party tracking script.

If you submit the contact form on this website, your name, email address, and message are transmitted directly to our email address (hello@trustdesk.in). This information is not stored in any database or CRM system. We use it solely to respond to your inquiry.

4. Optional Google Drive Backup

Some TrustDesk applications offer an optional, user-initiated backup to Google Drive. If you enable this feature:

  • Your data is encrypted on your device before being uploaded.
  • The encryption key is generated locally and never transmitted to TrustDesk or Google.
  • TrustDesk cannot access your Google Drive or your backup data.
  • This feature is entirely opt-in and disabled by default.
  • If you use this feature, Google's Privacy Policy applies to the storage of the encrypted file.

5. Passwords and Authentication

TrustDesk applications use a local admin authentication system. Passwords are stored using BCrypt hashing with a minimum cost factor of 12. No plaintext passwords are ever stored, logged, or transmitted. There is no master password, and TrustDesk has no ability to reset or recover your password.

6. Children's Privacy

TrustDesk applications are business tools intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect any information from or about children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we ever make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and post a notice on trustdesk.in. Given the nature of our applications (no data collection), meaningful changes are unlikely.

8. Contact

If you have questions about this policy, write to us at hello@trustdesk.in.
